My little girl is a big fan of all the Baby Alive dolls, so when it was time for her to be potty trained, I figured that the Baby Alive Learns to Potty would be a way for her to have fun, while also learning about going potty for herself. Now, potty training is not the intended purpose of this doll, but my daughter did learn about the process by feeding the doll, listening for the cues that the doll had to go, and then getting the doll to the potty in time. It took a few days of repeating the process, but kids learn a lot about cause and effect and caring for the doll while they get used to feeding and cleaning the doll up.

 Parents Help Required – Baby Alive Learns to Potty

The only downside that I’ve found about this doll is the fact that we parents have to be on hand to help with feeding and clean up. The doll comes with a few packets of food that must be mixed with water. And when the doll goes, she really goes – and that means that parents will have to help out with clean ups too. I found it best to keep the food mix put up, until I was available to actually help with the mixing and necessary clean ups.
